5.4 | Out Of Character during Patrol
Going out of character in-game in voice chat may result in disciplinary action.
While we understand things happen in real life, which affect your ability to roleplay, or creates, modifies, or removes a roleplay aspect that you were either attempting to do, or not attempting to do. Small things, like accidently punching someone, can be explained away in game with something as easy as "Sorry about that, I have muscle spasms sometimes, so sorry!" - You accidently hit an AI? Something like "Oh man that was crazy! He came out of nowhere!" - You can give more context to a situation without outright ruining roleplay by saying "22 that, sorry."
Here are some situations, and some example statements to explain. Please note, this is not required, but outright saying "Sorry man, accidently click my mouse" will not be tolerated, and you may receive disciplinary action.
Person glitching / Not walking right
"Hey man you better jump, you have a spider on your foot!" - Jumping will sync the character animations in FiveM usually.
No damage on your side, but officer / civilian see's damage
"Oh man, [so and so] is damaged? I couldn't even tell!" - This tells the person that you were not aware of the damage.
Didn't see something happen that was claimed
"Oh man, I hit your car? Sorry about that, I must've been readjusting my glasses"
Like aforementioned, this is not an extensive list, and these phrases are not required to be used. Please just use these are guidelines for how you explain situations in game, without breaking character.
